Woodside Reveals it Joint Ventrue - Link

Eric Nuttall is frustrated with JR, and says if you own POU you need to be comfortable with waking up one day and find out they sold Karr and Wapiti for a very good price.

Does anyone have trouble with that?

Not me, i trust JR and i would not say that about very many other CEO's of oil companies, but i also trust David Wilson.

Woodside must trust JR as well as they made Paramount operator of the play, and acquired the assets from Chevron.

Nuttal isn't "frustrated" with JR.. he's frustrated that the sold their position to early.. he's on record saying POU is one of the best run companies and has a pristine balance sheet for a company of this size.. he'd love to have the divi's rolling into his dividend income fund He also mentioned that POU has a record of building plays and "crystalizing" the ...more

I feel the same way. Wish we would have kept the assets and developed Willisden Greenand Liard /Horn river gradually.  It's my understanding that KSI LNG wouldn't be operational until 2029 anyways (if approved). Does anyone know when final desicion will be regarding this by the way?  I have no doubt that JR & co will create more value in the future just didn't see the ...more

I want to invest in companies that add value. Value is added developing assets. Value is crystallized selling assets.  Based on the 5 year return of CVE and VRN versus peers (MEG, POU), its not clear to me that value is added acquiring developed assets by borrowing and diluting shareholders.

In my opinion over a 10 year track record, VRN is not investable, you can't trust the management. IMHO MHP

Is there something wrong with us?  We don't have to agree with his stock picks but Eric Nuttall is our #1 Canadian oil and gas cheerleader by a country mile.  The guy should be Minister of Energy. He said something very interesting though. He said small mid cap is undervalued, little nterest, etc.... So isn't that a great opportunity for someone with $$$ who knows the oil and ...more

JR last time he jeans were full of cash he bought Triology and Apache. He has all this case and POU that has a lot of asset of great value that are simply not recognized, simply dust off a few of those assets, throw a little capex at them and watch them shine.  POU is the cheapest stock in the market.
