Can someone explain this

In the highlights of the May 16 announcement of Q1 earnings, the company says
"Cash, cash equivalents and publicly traded shares at March 31, 2022 of $18.5MM"
In the actual financial statement for the quarter, it says cash and cash equivalents of $6.61 million and no short-term investments

I'm sure there's a logical explanation...somewhere

Not trashing, just curious

I must be blind. I can't see it.

maybe I'm just tired

It might be referencing the stake in hpq that Pyrogenesis has, but I'm tired and don't know for sure. Cheers

PYR sold a Drosite system for 17 MM. When they sell a Drosite they sell it to Drosite International who in turn sells to end customer. Drosite International has a special payment plan with PYR so money is still due and what the terms are is anyone's guess. Drosite International is owned by Peters son, so this may be included in the 18.5MM cash and cash. equivilents JMO

That would fall under receivables

The more business PYR gets the more questions we have , isn't liberal clarity great.

They say have 6. million in cash and GIC and then under section 10 of the financials they list the HPQ's shares for 11.8  million and warrants for 2 million at the end of the quarter the HPQ sto....was $0.61 they're worth half that now. So cash and equivalence is down $6 million
Comment by tamaracktop on Jul 21, 2022 7:56am
$6 million in a penny stock that has an average daily trading value of $60,000 doesn't constitute cash. It doesn't even qualify as cash-equivalents or "near-cash" for that matter. It's down 50%, as you pointed out. 'Still waiting for a financial sleuth to answer this.

Hey tamarack, head to agoracom.com and you can ask the management directly and they will answer you.   Cheers!

What I see is someone inside the fence at HPQ just bought $6,000,000 worth of shares. I think he has a great bit of insight from inside the fence. I hope that helps.

GOGREENBABY Can you be more precise , who inside the fence just bought  $6M worth and how does this relate to the cash position question that tamaracktop raised ? Thank You !!
Comment by tamaracktop on Jul 21, 2022 5:52pm
That doesn't help much at all. HPQ made a new low today.

I could be completely wrong, and I sincerely hope I am for your sakes, but from my perspective something doesn't seem quite right here. Still no plausible answer to my original question. Where is it?

how much do you get paid to stare at stockhouse all day? do they start you at min?
Comment by tamaracktop on Jul 21, 2022 9:23pm
Actually I teach kids with disabilities in their homes every day and I have plenty of time to look at the markets while they're doing assignments or reading, but when I was a stockbroker at Royal Bank for 30 years I was paid very well to watch the markets. But thanks for asking Arthur and good luck to you.

Ignore the turd 02, tamaracktop. He had covid-brain. Even the tiniest, most insignificant-seeming action sends Arthur02 into a tizzy, leaving him ranting and raving or theatrically sobbing. It's unfortunate, but Stockhouse has a storm the capital Arthur02 drama queen on it's hands.

Wow! Did you honestly? You studied human behaviour for 7 whole years? And even thought patterns? You must be recognized as a world renowned expert. A genuine bona fide Magna Cumme laude. That's somewhat surprising to me. Your vocabulary appears be more limited than I would have imagined.

So it took you seven years to get your three-year college diploma from Sheridan... Not sure I'd be bragging about that buddy.

It wouldn't surprise me if we end up reading about upper management in the newspaper before this is over. Or maybe after.
