apple, " “a lifestyle company in Cupertino.”
"Intel announced this week that Bob Swan would be stepping down as CEO, with Pat Gelsinger taking the helm starting in February. Ahead of his formal start as CEO next month, Gelsinger is already calling on Intel to step up its efforts to compete with Apple, or what he refers to as “a lifestyle company in Cupertino.”

In fact, apple is good at applying other people's inventions for its gain (specially disruptive technology inventions, like wi-lan wireless etc), but not good at real tech inventions at all in my view.
It is good at taking other people's hard working inventions without pay, and claims other people's inventions simplly "worthless"and "old technologies".
In Apple's mind, only its cellphone designs or so can be considered as a real invention, for example.
"a lifestyle company" it really is at best..
