Quarterly earnings?

Anyone know went they going to report their quarterly earnings. TIA.

I recall it will be about two weeks later than last year. Around March 11 or 12. Don't know if the late release has anything to do with covid. Or maybe they're expecting a significant a key Wilan date just before then and they want to be able to talk about it on the call. Perhaps most likely is that covid is requiring the auditors to go slower than in a normal year.

Late February last year.  My guess is February 25th, with the anouncement next Thursday.

I'm hoping that there will be a window into the anonymous handset manufacturer that took a license in November. Wilan's revenue will be the needed info.

CabbieJBJ, My money is on Huawei. The story lines..... 2 weeks before the license deal, Huawei officially anounced the sale of entire Honor smartphone business. Huawei was reminded taking a license would be a good idea. The low key appoach would be  politically correct amid US sanction. W

WinnerCircle, are you opining that the license was only on the Honor line and not on the entire Huawei smartphone line?
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Feb 07, 2021 1:47pm
WinnerCircle, just a quick back-of-the-envelope figuring, Honor will ship 30 - 35 million phones in 2021.  The number could be higher as the sanction restraints on Huawei will not encumber Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology's marketing efforts.  Using the USD $0.45/unit rate from the Apple trial, discounted by one-third for not requiring a long and expensive ...more

cabbieJBJ, i would interpret the agreement would cover both Huawei and Honor. All the details are in the news release. A November 2020 article from BBC reports that Hauwei claims Honor ships 70 million smartphones per year. That would be even better...possibly ~$20M USD/year https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-54970003

I do not believe it is Hauwei as the news release by Quarterhill stated the  this handset operator Ranked in top 20 salesin the USA.  Since 2019 you could not buy phones in the US. What about Motorola?  Motorola has been very active  in courts with last posting on RPX Feb5 and active in January.  Motorola case was for wilful infringement?
