Td wrote a note Friday ‘Base Metals Preview’
in which they upped their 2021 Ni assumption from $6.75 all the way up to $8.50. They then see price dropping the next two years - I agree with the 2021 but see further pinch points ahead and disagree we fall back to an average of 6.75 in 2023.... anyways they (just like all the experts NV posts about), are extremely bullish on the whole base metals sector

NI going through the roof next 5 years because class #1 NI is 80% of all EV batteries whether NMC or solid state. NI is safe but class #1 is rare. NI should hit $17/lb this year on speculation alone... And COS4 should hit $100/lb as well... ... ... This is sing along with Mitch time...

LOL I said Co $80k per ton was achievable this year as part of our super smile but NV man said i was a bit too ambitious with that one - I agree with Co going crazy this year - your $100 a pound would be $220k/ton - not sure thats totally achievable but we should dream big : )

If the DRC remains stable I don't see the price shooting past 25$/lb for an extended duration. There are projects coming online and Mutanda has been mothballed waiting for higher Co and Co prices. If the DRC becomes unstable, however, all bets are off and 70, 80, 90$/lb Co is a realistic possibility.
