Was a wild ride...trees down...roof shingles ripped off, power still out for many, cell service offline was the toughest part as one could not reach out to family and friends. Halifax was about 200kms from Fiona landfall and we still had lots of damage in the city (a hugh storm - lowest ever recorded low pressure in Canada).  Schools closed today.  Two people died - one related to a

Certainly not as severe damage in my vicinity of NS compared to more northern regions. Some fallen trees and power outages. I happened to be away in New Brunswick at the time of Fiona but neighbors helped my wife connect and start our back up power so she had power, she lent out our other generator to other neighbors to share so they could keep fridges and freezers running.
