The share price would have been lifted by the high dividend. The company Share repurchases will just allow current holders to exit at current market value while it slowly sinks to a more reasonable

Brookfield is the one stirring the ship, they took control of TransAlta years ago and the stock was paying a dividend of $1.20 a year. The dividend was cut to about 16 cents a share a year. The

The dividend is now just over 2% annually.... the share price has to be cut in half to be worth purchasing.

Company should be sued
Superior propane broadcasted a news released saying the 18cent dividend was secure and then slashed it a couple months after to just over 1/5th
