Dead money

From 2016 they flirting between 8-15 CAD , long-term support around 8 CAD

I suspect we will test 8 CAD again in nearest future, after cutting dividend 

almost  10 years ago   never increase it.

For your reference  - June 2005 stock traded 35 CAD.

Agree - people on this board seem to be waiting for the big buyout by Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) but, seriously, why would they? They have a cushy deal where they get a guaranteed 7.5% divvy on their preferred shares. Luc Desjardins turned this company around. He sold off non-core assets, reduced debt, and his strategy of buying Mom & Pop propane businesses was proving to be highly ...more

Well, since Brookfield is heavily invested in building the infrastructure to produce and soon to export compressed gas, I would imagine this is something they have figured out. They've even said so. I'm not in the camp of expecting a buy out. That German outfit that was selling a while back is building the infrastructure to receive compressed gas in Europe. Thanks for some intelligent posts. I don't see SPB screaming higher but could warrant a 10% gain but I don't feel it will fall much below$9.00....for now if ever IMHO BAM is extremely greedy. 7% ireturn s nothing to them. BPO was issued at about $30...feel free to correct... and they repurchased the shares to take private 30% cheaper. Much like IPL where they bought far below the NAV. BAM ...more

I couldn't agree more. As I said here a number of times, Brookfield has no interest in buying Superior. As you said, why should they, just collect the 7.5%. Besides, they have other fish to fry I also suspect that the institutions are not much impressed with the future of hydrogen.
