SU bought back ~3.8% of shares Q2 alone 5.4% 2022

The dividend sould automatically rise as the share count goes down if the same amount of money is allocated to dividends as Q1.

We should have a minimum 4% rise in the dividend.

This is a no-brainer.

They are getting 30 percent less per barrel now. Dividend hike is off the table.

Clem, Respectfully if they did that on a ratio basis it would nullify a lot of the advantages of buying back shares.  Again the focus on the dividend is maybe something that should be reconsidered as it is not mathematically the best use of capital, nor in the best interest of shareholders.  Although dividends often feel "nice" to receive at the time it makes more sense for ...more
