The biggest lithium-ion battery is in Australia, built by Tesla. It cost 70 million Aussi dollars. The in-situ costruction for getting it operational for storing excess electricity in the Hornsdale Power Reserve, was an additional 172 million Australian dollars. This system is providing electricity to 30,000 households. This storage battery appears to function reliably, however Its operation ...more

Thanks bt Soooo....for 250 million you get storage capacity for 30,000 homes and that is just storage doesn't include the cost of the construction of the power generating facility. A Candu 6 reactor can provide energy for 20X homes for 6X in costs.  Seems like a pretty compelling argument for the Government to build nuclear plants rather than subsidizing the construction of a VW battery ...more

Everyone loves batteries, they are what makes children's toys work. Nobody likes nukes , especially in their back yards. There , you now understand the extent of Trudeau's acumen !!
