Catching breath

So while we are catching our breath, with happy smiles on our faces, what do you think about the current situation? I dont think the fast rise is tide to the coming conference so I dont think we will see a drop back the coming 2-3 weeks. But if a good deal is not presented in January I think sp will drop. Thoughts?

I think it's really a lot of retail investors on the sidelines FOMO fear of missing out on a run. We saw it run to $1.60 before a pullback on speculation. However, the main catalyst for the recent run up is Viacycte article showing that they spent $100 million dollars on a device for precursor cells that really did not give any great results.  Sigilon also failed. You have Vertex dumping ...more

imagine where the share price might have gone if IR had jumped to getting a press release in the same publications touting their success. No...instead we will just let investors dig around. The move up is nice but will the company do anything to build momentum or will they pull out the old shot gun and blow their foot off again instead?

Luckily with the treasury they have there is no need for that this year and if they can get the SP up there will be more coming in with warrants.    Would be nice to have more reach with our IR but presenting to 600 transplant professionals should get the word out.  It's good timing with the last article on Viacyte. Everything could come together and with any luck we might see a ...more

I agree with Mustang. There needs to be a deal and it needs to be good or we may be in trouble. Volume is still pretty low for a stock with so many outstanding shares so it'll be interesting to see what happens on a high volume day. And yes there are a many warrants that will do more harm than good. Still don't like that patient 7 doesn't exit. Also I'm sure everyone else like me ...more

Last January, smart longs got in and out quickly, really quickly, knowing the window of opportunity for large profits was small - everything was based on one patient and the huge swell was obviously going to be momentary, despite the scapegoats (Doug Loe etc.) invoked by some here. Smart longs took profits (massive if their initial costs were between 20 & 30 cents per share) then got ...more

Mercryfilling that sure doesn't fit the narrative that most "smart longs" liked to paint last Jan.  Heavy shorting by those in the bought deal was the thesis and Doug Loe coming out with a PT below the current SP really didnt help in any version.   Personally I feel profit taking was a major part of it but it's likely a combination of all and natural after such a big ...more

Mercury and Red, I think we are at a critical potential turning point for the company . The past history of the company, with any positive news, was always followed by a cheap " down and dirty " financing.  The catalysts of potentially ground breaking news by Witowski followed by a potential pharma deal coupled with the competition faltering changes things dramatically. The fact ...more

Mercuryfilling1,, I wouldn't call them "smart" longs, extremely lucky is what I would call them. I think more small traders and investors had better luck than did the old timers. Everyone now is assuming we'll have another huge jump next month. We'll see where this next surge takes us but I'm not so sure. When we all assume something will happen is when the opposite ...more

Rix, that is how it is. There are always 2 sides to the coin. Because so many expect it, it will happen.   Mustang has called the catalysts:   Licensing Deals   -Dr. Piotr Witkowski, the study leader, will confirm on January 13, 2022, at the Winter Symposium, that 3 patients have been insulin free for 12+ months and 2 patients have been insulin free for 6+ months.  ...more

If you held this long and now decided to get out, you would be a bafoon. You just had several competitors in this space take a few steps back with their cell pouch solutions. Sernova (we assume) is about to announce more positive human trial results.  The only thing left on the table is the immunosuppressive pillar, which it has two great options that have great track records to fill in ...more

MercuryFilling. Smart longs got in and out quickly? That makes zero sense. Day traders and swing traders get in and out quickly.
