I find it interesting that they have increased theur hokdings in THTX during the last Quarter,,....Obviously they are not risk adverse but I am trying to see their  record in early stage biotechs and see how successful they have been in being ahead of the curve but did not find much .......,,,Anyone???

I don't have any performance info I can access. Their assets under  management have not changed much recently so that indicates they have not been on a really hot performance tear this year.  According to Bloomberg, Soleus has $650 million in assets, TH is their sixt largest holding and represents 4% of their total portfolio. 98% of their holdings are classified in the healthcare ...more

The genesis of the firm is that they were the healthcare team for Paulson and, from what I heard, were the sole bright spot over a number of years and essentially were responsible for the majority of the overall firms positive results. They spun out on their own. The only way to see is to go back and look at some of their larger holders that are part of filings (on Edgar).  I think for our ...more

We have to hope that our interests are always pretty tightly aligned with Soleus' and I suspect they mostly always will be. The one risk is if they need a quick win at some point and try to organize an earlier than needed sale of the company where it meets some immediate goal of theirs but sells TH at a price than is significantly less than we might had achieved if they did not sell.  ...more

Excellent point. I can't remember the details on who was prescient enough to realize that what IMMU had was worth a whole lot more to develop on their own (mgmt or shareholders), but it created massively more value for shareholders.  Maybe it was when they were stumbling around with pretty severe safety issues.
