Almost time to buy more of TGB

Absent a swing trade, I never add shares of Taseko to my portfolio on the way up as I prefer to only buy when shares are "comparatively" dirt cheap. I've been sitting on the sidelines on this recent ride down and still have my core of what is now 305k shares after a few very old now swings many moons ago. That said, I'll be picking up more shares IF TGB hits $1.36 US. Will that happen? If copper heads back under $3.75 US or so I believe it will. For me, that $1.36 US price is where I see very little downside in picking more shares.

305K shares? That's a nice position ;) I pretty much got out of Taseko a couple of years ago in favor of Capstone and Copper Mountain, but back to it and buying at this level. Way behind you in the number of shares though ;)

Welcome back Rigged, many years of patience and buying on the cheap. Pretty simple really, either you believe in Florence or you don't. If it's a go, which I have always thought to be the case, it's a Taseko game changer....for good. Gibralter begets Florence, Florence begets Yellowhead and so forth. That's what it all boils down to in the end. If you believe, you buy. If you don ...more

I will admit that Russ made me uneasy. Some CEO's are better at starting companies then at growing them. He seemed to be a bit too focused on acquiring new properties while Gibraltar operations were all over the place. Which made Taseko an interesting long-term prospect but a risky one short-term. I liked how the new CEO handled Harmony and de-risked cash flow by hedging; Gibraltar seems to be ...more

They've made a lot of good moves lately.  The best is yet to come.  Need to keep a 2-3-5 year time horizon but it will be well worth it.

Glad you all did the right thing.  I didn't.  The real questions is not what WAS the right thing, but what IS the right thing now.   The only thing worse than making a bad decision is making two bad decisions.

Well jc. My decision was to put bid in at 1.75 cad. I can up that or down that and it could still b wrong:)) Guessing is difficult. nf
