Q3 EPS Estimates

Should be just shy of 20 cents US, yes? Highest estimate we've seen from all of the analysts is 8 cents with most lower. What will that do to share price? With only one week left in Q3 and BB stating everything is on track production wise for the Q, hard not to expect the strongest earnings report Taseko has put forth in a very long time. Being that Q3 report won't be released until November, news about the final draft permit should also be out by then. The quiet before the storm is....now.

I guess it is.  Assume 35 million at somewhere around $1.80 c1.  Then 75% of that.  Copper price has averaged around $4.20 this quarter.  So. let's say $1.80 c1.  $63 million EBITDA.  That's .22 a share.  Of course, there are always other costs.  What am I missing?  Is that c1 too low?  Doesn't seem like it.  $1.80 is what they ...more

Your C1 is probably low, average price of copper for the Q probably a little high, other production costs more than likely create an AISC a bit higher than anticipated and so forth. But who cares, you're close enough. Hence our call for just shy of 20 cents US. Either way, a bang up Q3 should be coming our way. That, along with permit news, is a big deal.

You might be right about C1 although I do think it is interesting that in Brian's PP 5 days ago, it states clearly that C1 for Gibralter LOM will be $1.80.   There are always other costs.  Actually, anything above 6 cents will be considered a huge market surprise.  Not to us, but based on analyst estimates.  We could end up this year with earnings near 40 cents a ...more

The street doubts everything Taseko. Some of that was definitely earned, some maybe harsh. Small miners don't rate the same PE structure as the well established majors and the mining industry in general has much less PE multiples compared to other sectors. What does that mean? Don't expect double digit PE multiples to share price for Taseko anytime soon. Ending 2021 with earnings in the ...more

Single digit PE multiples are for declining companies.  I certainly would expect a multiple in the 10-15 range provided they can produce consistent earnings and Florence is approved.

You can expect it all you want but that ain't gonna happen. If you think Taseko share price will be $10 - $15 US per share when they achieve an annual $1 EPS, think again. We're ultimately on the same side here as you're aware but best to tamper down your expectations.

Yes Joe.  I did some checking copper Mountain is selling at a 5 multiple right now.  So yes, expecting 10-15 might be too high but growth prospects figure in to that.  Looks to me like most copper stocks are not undervalued right now. so Fluff besides your own personal project, are there any good fertilizer or AG plays out there?

Meant to say undervalued,   Not "not undervalued".  This site needs an edit option.

. How long do you think it will take to reach $1 eps?  I would think Florence has to be up and running for a significant portion of a fiscal year for that to happen. As I have posted here before.  My guess has been about an $8 sp at that point. That would also be in line with the historic PE of other similar miners.

Well folks. Not that my opi ion matters. But for my take. C1 will b minus 2.00 u,s. Production, pure copper will b just shy of 40 million pounds. All gold silver and moly credits will b 40 million plus copper equiv. So 70 million ebitda cad.tko share.  There is now a huge food crisis in 34 countries. The rest of the world is short on many foods. Fertilizer is now in way short supply. That ...more

Capex in Q2 was $2.02 and Brian said it will be significantly better in Q3.  Interpret that how you want.  Under $2 would be a correct but very safe estimate.
