Copper speculation

So for the last month or so articles have been produced in major publications that copper "could hit $15,000 by 2025"

if course those predictions are constantly changing, but I would like to just speculate a bit.  If that is true, how would it impact TKO?  Is there a rough historic ratio for how Taseko rises in relation to copper.  Is it a 1:1 percentage?  It seems to be more--maybe as much as 2:1.

thoughts?

Currently, tko sits right on the edge of debt to mc ratio or above. No one seams to be to worried. They essentially have no taxable earnings. So sp is based on total speculation. The guess is that copper is going up and florence will be a 20 year cash cow. If tko is worth 2.00 cad. with no earnings and big debt against nice reserves then doubling sp. is all to bottom line. Gib production of 100 ...more

All that talk about selling tko convinced me. Sold some and swung to ncu. Hope that works:)) nf

If copper is at $7.5 per pound, and the c1 for Gib is $2.50, the EBTDA for Gib (125 million pounds per year) is $500 million per year (all USD).  That's for Gibraltar alone.  Debt is gone in 2 years just from Gib. Florence pruduces an EBITDA of about $490 million per annum (subtracting a 10% stream). So the total company would produce about $1 billion per year.  If we consider ...more

Nah jc. I have lost and wrote off about 500 thousand cad. In my life. However, I have made several million. So no  point in changing now. Even if ncu did fail, the ag tech would  exponential that. However, I am quite confident ncu is what I think.    Bring on the bags:)) Nf

We know he claimed over 100k tko shares which he unloaded around 2.75.     He started piling into NCU at 1.20 and really went in around .70.  Now it is .065 with no buyers of massive sell orders at .07.  That's horrendous.  Lets say he could trade TKO for NCU when he sold for around 2.3 shares to 1.  No it's........ 30.

So he sold 100k TKO shares for aprox.  $275k.. He then piled into NCU at lets say an average of 65 cents.    So now his   $275k is now worth aprox.    $27.5k    Around a 90% loss.                Sounds like one  of his better returns.                   ...more

I hate to hammer on the poor guy but he cost me a little bit in NCU as I trusted his judgement on TKO. It's on me.  Then I thought I could help him admit he was wrong.  Not all love is gentle or kind.  Now I realize he is off the plot.  I can't blame him walking away from years of savings can't be easy.  Meanwhile TKO looking very solid at this point. Brian said that the auditors needed a little more time because of the 12.5% buyback of Gib last January.  It just created more accounting work.  Nothing more than that.
