Friday Trades by Margin Players

Friday Trades by Margin PlayersShould larger margin players (Shorts) also be aware as to why so many cannabis stocks jumped yesterday then we will see buying either in the NASDAQ after-hours and / or during tomorrow then in the Friday after hours.

Why ?

Shorts only make money if they can cover their trade (buy replacement shares) at a lower price than where their shares were sold.  Should unmistakably Bullish (positive) news be released regarding the stock, or the sector, then they know other shorts will also cover and that could happen faster than they themselves can react, therefore they are forced to pay more to buy back their shares (cover).

I can't say what it is that caused the sector jump yesterday but if there is a major development in the works it's not impossible that it will come to light relatively soon.
