Your argument is flawed. Since the Spring of 2022 when rates began rising, AX.UN has dropped by 50% although their distribution was never cut. However, compare that to TNT which cut their distribution

Exactly on the point. There are funds set up to invest in income stocks. If distribution is cut, the fund may pull out/reorganize its portfolio and the stock price may drop significantly as a result

Still only around the $1.60 mark in pre-consolidation terms, but the stock does seem to be gaining some momentum. Here's hoping there's good news in the next quarterly report.
