Ya aslong as he can maintain REIT status while doing buybacks he should. I think in general it might be difficult for him to do that though as he still has to make distributions according to REIT law ...more

i don't think much of it at all. reit analysts just follow the stock trading price and market sentiment. go back and read their rosy reports into the rate cycle when it was clear to get out. all ...more

I would much rather them buy back shares with a coupon of plus 20 per cent vs. Repaying debt at much less than half that.  However, whether DD is teaching the market a lesson or the other way ...more
