Partnership deals are in vogue

Endocyte - quoted by Sujan at Seeking Alpha as similar in market size as MCNA (back when Bioniche thought the market was $200mm) got 120mm up front from Merck, 800mm in (potential) milestones and a 50/50 split for the US market for the phase III Vintofolide." Mind you it was for more that one application... but still very nice. A deal half that size would work for me. I read that most pharmas are settling more and more for partnerships instead of buyouts, as the risk is mitigated with the FDA approval contingency. I guess the same could be said for a 2 tiered structured buyout. Something's coming. We shall see. beech

Beech, the post announcement part of the Endocyte / Merck story (re licensing of Phase III Vintafolide) is just as interesting. And, reflects very well for MCNA re future partnership deals / take over offers. ---- Bottomline, Vintafolide did not complete Phase III trial and the study was halted. Excerpt from article... "Merck and partner Endocyte have stopped a late-stage study of the ovarian ...more

RGFacts, Yes that event was certainly a new and significant transformative path for shareholders. With the financing and warrants I think that the market cap has exploded to about the same as it was July 17th. If things get any more "transformative" people will barely be able to contain their excitement here. Has TST always been this well versed in the art of growing shareholder wealth?

you know what's not en vogue?   Sucking so bad at something that you're supposed to excel at, that you embarrass yourself and all of humanity because of how slow you are, and how long it takes to make a common sense decision that's backed up by a decade of wasted time, proven efficacy, and safety.   The FDA is an absolute phhucking disaster of a group of human beings.    ...more

The world's largest company pulled an entire PRODUCT LINEUP simply because they didn't want to jump through the hoops that is the FDA.    "We are the biggest, mightiest company on the planet earth.   We have well over $100 billion in cash.  But if you are asking us to wait for approval from THESE PEOPLE, forget it.   We'll just work on something else" ...more

The FDA took humanity's faith away.    Ironic.   Aren't they there to ensure that food and drugs are SAFE and suitable for human use/consumption?    Naw.   They are there to act as a barrier to entry for people who aren't on-board with them and their chronic fatigue syndrome

Anyways.   Here's a toast.   To the mighty FDA.   thank you for taking my idea of what successful is, and completely warping it for me.   I toast you with my Monster Energy beverage and cigarette chasers.   Jeezuz.   Look at how fancy the monster bottle is.   Glad it masks how incredibly bad all of the ingredients are.....and my cigarette packs used to tell ...more

The human race seems to still hold out some faith in Blackberry.  $5.6 bil US?    Haha.  it's not worth $5.5 billion pesos.    It's worth 5.5 billion zeros tho.....

They were stupid enough to not become a tech venture capitalist in 2008, and in 2015 they are stupid enough to think the world still wants their "secure" technology.    Please.   You aren't even wise enough to change your chitty name from Blackberry.   The name is synonymous with "dinosaurs who can't adapt to a touchscreen because their brains are flawed ...more

Haha.  I watched people lose their shirts in Nortel (another P OS) when I was in my teens.   I kept saying "have fun trumping Cisco.  Have fun even trumping Lucent".    All the suits and ties were talking about how "great" they were.    I have no respect for you people and your inability to seek truth in bullchit.    The problem is ...more

Why SHOULD the FDA read this board?   They don't even do things they should have had done ages ago.   Jeezuz.   Can you explain to me what would take IQs of 170+ this long to figure out.   Or let me guess.  They aren't geniuses.   They are just slow, hard-workers?

If you consider that a debt-laden society is the best country to live in (I agree btw), then what does that say for your human brethren living in a PO S society somewhere worse?    Oppressed or just useless.   We have all the money in the world.    Even that is useless.   :)

What's amazing to me is that for how many PhDs ce flying out of college each year, not ONE of them has been able to cure cancer.  NOT ONE MIND.   Not even a TEAM of minds.    Not even multiple regionalized teams of minds.   Or consortium of multiple BILLION DOLLAR PHARMAS.    Likely because they are convinced that they aren't capable of it.  I'm ...more

Where is the elite human health mind?   Someone like Bill Gates or Steve Jobs that knows what we need, will INSULT THEIR ENTIRE TEAM UNTIL THEY ACHIEVE THEIR DESIRED GOALS, and doesn't need a piece of linen from a university with their printed name on it like its some measured level of success or perseverance or whatever?  CHANGE THE WORLD already for Christ sakes.   Steven ...more

I have two university degrees, but I'll agree with you.  I'm just as useless as you, or anyone else.  :)

How is it good volume?   We should be trading no shares or millions per day.   Not just floating trades back and forth between dummy accounts
Comment by higgsboson on Feb 19, 2015 4:08pm
the first degree didn't do the job so you decided to go for the second and here you are exposing yourself to all the BB members
