Some pundits believe it will never reach pre-pandemic levels. Fossil fuels are in the early stages of being fazed out ---and it will eventually----but, 2050 ( the year I keep seeing ) is still a long way off so, still quet a bit of money to be made. Plus, I'm confident  these oil and gas producers have  smart enough people that will be adjusting --adapting --- to the new coming of age.

It has taken well over a century to provide the infrastructure necessary to meet our current energy needs. If there were an easier means to do it without using petroleum, I think someone would have thought about it long ago!!

These pundit predictions aren't worth the paper they're printed on... they've been wrong so many times its unbelieveable.. take them with a grain of salt and use your own research to make a call..

The whole thing is the car industry is trying to appease the environmentalists by putting out EV's there isn't to much clean energy out there. I live in Ontario and 60% is from nuclear ( nobody wants to spent rods in their back yard) 30 to 35% from gas and the rest is from green energy (wind-solar-hydroelectric) so how clean are the cars really.
