There is a VA center about 30 minutes from me, sad to say these guys are a mess. Drinking and smoking outside. The police don't bother them. It's like ground zero for COPD.
Yes I recall Casey Hoyt talking about this test pilot during one of the CC's last year, he also mentioned it was a slow process. Maybe one day soon we will wake up to a surprise news release in this regard.
You can not walk a mile in another man's shoes, that would be the only way to truly understand what these people have been through and why some make the choices that they do. I have often thought the same thing when I see homeless people gathered outside a shelter. GLTA.
