“UP TO” 50% return to shareholders
This reminds me of those sale ads that promise up to 50% off and then you realise that virtually everything on sale is 10 to 25% off except for the nice items that are not in sale at all. The one piece that is 50% off is the ugly yellow shirt no one wants hidden in the corner. Some companies, like TOU, actually commit to give 50% plus of FCF to shareholders but not CCPG. Up to 50% means you could actually get zero! Wonder who was the mastermind behind that "clever" use of words.

Agree, also did not like that term in early July, CVE says 50% not up to and also uses term Variable Dividend, which I also like better than Special which sounds like a one-off.
