T.Rowe

Why is T.Rowe buying new positions since they announced a lawsuit againts Valeant? Long term investors keep holding and average down. Forget about the bashers. We will be gapping up towards Tuesday.

Well, T. Rowe is sueing Valeant so do you really think they are net buying positions??? You do know that long positions have to be reported but not short positions right?  So T. Rowe, a large fund manager was sideswiped by Valeant and they need to sell so they don't end up being bigger bag holders.  So as they sue on one side, they need to find bagholders to unload to and the " ...more

Here is the proof they purchased. Show me where they took a short position. Otherwise don't assume. https://investors.morningstar.com/ownership/shareholders-major.html?t=VRX

I don't think you get it.  They have to report the new 0.14% of new shares they bought but THEY DON'T HAVE TO REPORT the HEDGE they likely took to cover the 0.14% on that "new" Fund along with the 0.15% they already owned in the bagholding fund. So they own 0.29% of VRX long, and ___% of VRX short which they do not have to report! But that answers your question, why would ...more

So if they bought the new shares in September at average 24 US and they put out a short position why wouldn't of they just waited longer to buy the new shares if they are hedging? If they do have a short position they will eventually want to make up their money back on the new position. I get you are a pro trader and are throwing out the fear cause you made a ton of money on a big short and ...more

Plenty of intitutions buying????  Yeah minus 6% and tanking.  It only looks like dumb investors are buying. As for me?  I'm a small retail trader/investor with decade of years of experience self investing and gettting eating alive by the markets.  No longer,  I have ZERO trust in the markets and VRX is a perfect example.  Once the largest cap on the Canadian ...more

Not sure why you don't want Valeant to succeed. Its good for the economy to turn this company around. It employees lots of people and it's good for our beaten down economy when so many jobs are now out sourced. Seriously get a grip and become more humble.

it's still possible that Takeda is trying to buy the whole of VRX like they tried last spring with some hedge fund but were rebuffed. We don't know what's going on behind the curtain
Comment by biggerr on Nov 03, 2016 2:00pm
Takeda could pay only $10 bil. in cash to buy VRX and assume the $30 bil. in debt. Takeda then could handle the debt much better than VRX can because the former has a much better balance sheet
Comment by deeppocket83 on Nov 03, 2016 2:08pm
HMMM we could receive Takeda shares equivalent to the debt for the remainder. I would be interested in that.
