Why is everyone surprized?

This was a horrible deal.  The smart money knows it stinks.

Why do you think we have all the downgrades.  The market is speaking loudly

this was a deal forced on management. Of course they have

I agree with posts i've seen in both GO and WFE, its better to combine assets into a larger entity for both overall growth and a possible large take over offer.

Well management has to be trimmed or it costs shareholders more for the redundancy. Im going to Vote YES for the deal since both companies are highly undervalued and will have more value recognition in the market as one entity.

Both of the companies are undervalued. The marrged company must now be selling at about 2.7 times cashflow. Together they will be able to spread their fixed costs, increase market liquidity, and receive a reduced risk premium given their new mid-tier status. Natural gas was also up 5% today.

"I agree with posts i've seen in both GO and WFE, its better to combine assets into a larger entity for both overall growth and a possible large take over offer." Not at a discount to WFE shareholders.   If you look at the prices at yesterday's close, it looks like GO is getting the better end of the deal and is the one who's going to manage the new compa A $212M ...more
