Does this seem like a conflict of interest to anyone else?

John Brussa is on the Independent Committee for the Strategic Alternatives Process for Westfire and is also a Board Member. John Brussa is also on the Board of Directors of Guide Exploration.

QUESTION: If WFE went into this transaction based on the advice of the Independent Committee (which included John Brussa) with another company in which Brussa was also involved, was this truly independent?
