New to WPX

I've been watching this stock for a couple weeks now and am wondering why they had to do
this consolidation / reverse split?  The share price has been dropping steadily for the last few weeks.  Any opinions as to why this is happening?

They are funded, right?  thanks

I'm just asking questions here. Unfortunately not getting much of a response. I read somewhere that Chinese investors wanted to come into the Company in a big way. Maybe they're waiting till it gets really, really cheap to come in? They seem to want to get into other ventures, but that hasn't been fully explained either. Just looking for some feedback from this board, as to why this ...more

Multi-Billion Dollar Chinese Companies Beginning to Bet Big on WPX! NIA has learned that earlier this month, Ms. Luo Yan the Chairman & President of China CAMCE Engineering Co traveled all the way to Saskatchewan to meet with Western Potash (TSX: WPX) and discuss the potential development of their Milestone Potash Project. If you want to ...more

Is there any validity to this article?  What was the purpose in this Company doing a consolidation/reverse split in the shares? Right now with the reverse split the share price wouldn't even be $1 CD, so that wouldn't be high enough to even bring institutional buyers into the picture, would it? Like I said just asking a few questions if anybody here knows. thanks

u have valid question,  i dont know what to answer...  I can guess that after the reverse split, the shares will gradually go up to $2  from $1   and get close to $3  for institutional to jump in.....   look at  WEED, mariguana stock.     it was a penny stock then  $2    then as high as $17.....  now  ...more

I wouldn't expect any rise in the share price unless they have some good news to give around the time they become Western Resources.  Reverse splits are normally not seen to be positive events and I wouldn't expect any move higher in the share price unless they have some good news to share in the short term. The reverse split is the reason for the sell off in the shares ...more

Just need to hold tight. I'm at a slight loss but I've heard some positive stuff is coming down the pipe. This is just a small blip while the consolidation occurs. Once it all is finalized in March, we will start to see some good news come out regarding Milestone! Just my opinion of course ;) GLTA

I thought what they might do is on the day of the consolidation come out and announce a deal regarding a new venture or JV in another area besides potash. That was the reason they gave for the consolidation and company name change. If they don't give some positive news around that time the bleeding will most likely continue.  All JMO
