More talk on what's steps with Rio
Who knows ?
What if Rio is looking for a deal that has WRN trading @ $5.00 CDN but not being a complete buyout ?
Rio ends up owning say 60% of WRN dumping in a bunch of cash into WRN and uses WRN to buy up these beaten up exploration companies ( Paul did mention looking at exploration opportunities). just looking ? LOL
Rio is looking out 5 to 10 yrs when the grid may be conected to the Yukon and uses WRN as a conduit / agent to snap up some of these opertunities?
What could Rio do to pump our stock up to $5.00 CDN without buying WRN out for $800m to $1B $$ CDN ? They would be playing for time while this grid power becomes a reality in the Yukon lowering mining and development costs !

Time will tell what Rio has in store for Paul / Western Copper ?

Yes, your scenario looks very probable, Marine. 60% in the $5 to $7.50 range. Phase 1. Too premature to judge but looks like something got leaked. Nothing nefarious. The source didn't even know the Stu Property is in the Yukon or owned by Granite Creek. Ask me. Somebody was eaves dropping and was even getting there stories messed up. Wouldn't even give much credibility.
