WRN Board

I encourage WRN shareholders to reach out to the board and demand transparency and accountability in the decision-making process to ensure it aligns with shareholders' interests. The board owes a fiduciary duty to shareholders, not to management. Shareholders deserve assurance that management is fully dedicated to creating value and that this dedication isn't compromised by any internal or external influences/interest.
In the view of recent events, particularly the agreements on such unfavorable terms for shareholders and uncontrolled share dilution, it's crucial for the board to address shareholders concerns to rebuild confidence and provide clarity on the company’s strategic direction.

IMO they've been transparent regarding their objectives to get this through permitting. Now the dust has settled on Sandeep, this raise, Rio's continued 9.7%, I'm more convinced Paul simply thought Rio would take their 6, then 9, then 12, then 24, then 30 months and then pay 50% NPV (or whatever). We'll obviously never know whether they made a lowball or not. Always good to ...more

Clark  don't count out Eight Capital yet...nor any of the others that participated in the raise. If i were betting, i'd say we add at least 2-3 of those who will begin coverage of WRN by year end.   Sandeep goal is to get several more firms covering WRN, do a better job marketing the asset (he mentioned to me he was suprised of the lack of knowledge about Casino), and get ...more

Pavcio, you have offered a good thought about transparency and accountability. Too bad it is on us for this. The money they make...you would think they would be up front with this. It is our money they try to sell us on. Guess I am wrong.
Comment by Sooner on May 07, 2024 4:23pm
Have you emailed Sandeep? It's pretty easy actually. He responded to my email within hours. If you have legitimate questions/comments that is. If you are just going to complain and not have legitimate suggestions , etc...don't expect a response. you do realize Sandeep has been in his role like < 3 months i believe? you do realize the board understood a need for new blood and a change? ...more
Comment by pavcio on May 07, 2024 5:27pm
Yes Sooner, I understand it's possible to email Sandeep directly, although I believe it might not be the most productive approach. I'm also aware that Sandeep has recently assumed his role. I recognize the importance of new leadership and change, and I'm optimistic about the positive outcomes that can result under his guidance. However, I strongly suggest that shareholders engage ...more

I would gladly trade all the discussion about share buybacks, competitive tension, and additional analyst coverage for a list of Casino Road construction milestones for 2024 and permitting milestones for 2024. I'd like some specifics so we can hold our management team accountable to meeting those milestones.
Comment by StandingOwl on May 08, 2024 5:49am
Exactly 14. At one time they made sure to inform us of this. Big news. However it is an ongoing process...it would be nice to be kept in the loop.

Totally agree Copper.
Comment by Diamondboy123 on May 08, 2024 8:49am
Accountability and management are two completely incompatible terms as they relate to western. 15 long years has clearly established same. As Clarke noted, this will bump along with the price of copper all the while slowly leaking from invariable profit taking and natural erosion from day trading friction.
Comment by MetalMinded on May 08, 2024 9:51am
I'm sorry, but that is a dumb statement, at a minimum with current management.  Sandeep is way deeper invested as a shareholder than you or any of us ever was or will be. His personal interest out of his own pocket is far more based in how the stock performs than his paycheck.  He also now leads the company and things. If you have reasonable requests, reach out to him.   ...more

Keep whining like a 3 year old, it provides me humor. At some point you might consider how to do some level of critical thinking, taking a variety of FACTS into account, when forming an opinion.   Facts like: 1) A permit without a road will more likely lead us to the fate of our neighbor.  The YESAB made us jump through more an unusual hoops on the road to a mining permit.  And ...more

Keep pumping. It makes me money. I feel sorry for your heirs gramps.  All that lost opportunity to grow your legacy. Wasted in your "patience" and managements mismanagement.  What a gravy train. 15 years and counting. Good on you gramps.
Comment by MetalMinded on May 08, 2024 10:48am
LOL, just dumb.  I'm 8 years in and still way green. Don't project your failures on me.  You're the one who lost you behind from a dumb investment 15 years ago and struggle to get your $300 once or twice a week day trading trying to make it up.  Your poor family watching you struggle at something so simple must be disheartening for them. I'll you give this.   ...more

Your leaking every day gramps. Lost opportunity.  You've made diddly. You haven't cashed out. Try not puking on your cardigan when you realize that. And once again keep pumping. It makes me money. Boy can I do this all day long. I love u metal.

Mar 04, 2024 4:33pm I thought you commented you sold your entire holdings of WRN at $1.91 and that you can't trust this thing.... and yet here you are...still here...continuing to slam management and everyone else. Sooner I'm actually on Effexor.  But I've been good at talking it regularly.  Thanks for the concern though. It's appreciated. As for your comments on this board, I do rather like them given that your quite balanced and fair when opining. Others like gramps metal are pumpers.  Mindless nebula fretting away their holdings year after year.  Decade after decade. Yet ...more

of course ---- several on this board have beer glasses on. Paul nor Sandeep (nor i suspect the board) are of that mind set IMO. They are more than likely right in Sooners camp....looking for a REASONABLE offer of buyout. 3 years to wait for $4 to $6 Sooner?  That is about 50% over the highs after RIO bought in back in 2021.  So, adding 3 years to today brings us to 2027 or about 6 years post RIO buy-in.  Normal stocks (i.e. run-of-the-mill S&P 500 stocks) will roughly double in about 7 years.  So, a double from 2021 would put us smack dab into your $6 range. This of course begs the ...more

To the one called  Sooner. I am afraid your thoughts have some reality in them. I hope we end up better then that but... There have been some who have called this dead money. Let's hope not. 4 or 6 USD a share is something.  Anything possibly over that is gravy.

Sooner Wen you state, ""Don't you recall all the interviews with Dale/Paul --- Crux, etc. All giving each other pats on the back, asking Paul what his capacity would be within Rio developing Casino , Dale saying Rio DD almost complete and he doesn't expect it to go past the FIRST deadline?"" I repeat there is no grip. In terms of shares owned versus the share count shows us all mathmatically not in a grip kind of scanrio here. Influence somewhat but nothing I would fret about. Ash 2026 will turn to 2028 to 2030.  Just like 2011 turned to 2013 to 2015 and then we woke up and it was 2024. All along paying bout a million in salaries a year plus Options.  Such unmitigated dilution.  What agita.

Tell me it's your first time invested in junior mining without actually saying it.  You have absolutely zero understanding of junior mining, just like forestry products and diamonds.

Reading through those posts on three boards, you're either a liar or you've lost your behind so many timesI lost count.  Funny thing about truth is it's easy to remember.  Funny thing about lying, you lose track of the lies and end up saying conflicting things.  You are entertaining though.  Same format in all three boards. Check the tape gramps just bought again at 1.98 and sold at 1.99:  another 230 bucks. G note for the day and I still have 10 k in shares at 1.98. Let's see if I can sell at 2 bucks and make another 200.  On a day with limited movement. Too easy gramps.

this mirrors what Sandeep told me in my call with him....he's trying to focus on a couple things. Finally getting permitting done and also getting better word out on WRN to investment community. He mentioned using his network, goal of getting (i think he said at least 6) more anlysts covering WRN and attracting more natural buyers than sellers. I've been saying that all along...it's ...more

Sooner, I get where some of the WRN stakeholders are coming from, it is through the lens of Casino as a copper asset.  If copper were the only asset in play, then I would fully back your prognosis of a $6 per share valuation in a future buyout. I view Casino from the lens of it being a gold asset with copper offsets.  Here is my investment thesis for WRN: 1)  Casino is one of the ...more

Do you have a functioning brain cell in your head.  You can't on one hand say I have no gains because they are paper gain and then come back and say I am having losses when they are paper losses (of a little of my paper gains).  Geeze dude.  You are literally delusional.
