barrick and goldcorp

Both these outfits have considerable holdings around Jerritt, and they collaborate on one already. Might be logical that they would want  a piece of every pie in the area. Barrick and Kinross are also partners on one.

Goldcorp likes to take juniors with big potential and develop them further: Ketza would give them a presence in the Yukon.

I think the PR today is just restating the obvious to those not in the know. YNG is back open for business and looking to do some deals to improve the value of the shares. They may happen or they may not happen, but they have the likes of DB and RBC helping them to make something happen. The mill capacity and the roaster are just two big attributes of the company and that has to be attractive ...more

Well in 1 day they are batting 100% because they have already done what they set out to day, increased the share price :-)  and put me in the delema to take my increase from yesterdays purchase or go for gold ... But one has to wonder as well how long all of this will take ? personally as a self employed business owner for years I would think they look at these options all of the time and ...more

It's true all companies should be actively working to increase value for shareholders.  I think what this RNS signifies is that the BoD recognize the shares are very undervalued relative to resources/assets/production and they wish to actively work to resolve this.  Of course we already have one strategy being implemented to create value for shareholders, i.e. renovate the plant and ...more

yes makes sence and I agree .... definitly not something they just came up with. The posibility of a split concerns me, I know we have asked about it for years and I know Baldocks has always said he wants to grow the company into the number of shares no split .. but they have not had much luck at that and a quarter when they get the mill into full production and better and get all of the project ...more

I agree 100% Combo, now whether this PR today represents something already in the works or not is debateable, but IMO the position where company stands currently is a position of strength. The plant should be back up to speed soon and their latest drill results have been very good. The time of year for them to get everything together at the plant and new tailings pond is here as the ...more
