What happened today? Who put the boots to Taho and why?  Has anything leaked about the decision?

Nobody will buy company with a closed mine under these circumstances. We should be lucky if we get.Escobal back to life and then.everything is possible, but at very different price.

I understand what you are saying but a pure gold play would likely not give a darn about a closed silver mine.

Well nice to see some more action from THO on the termination front. As a shareholder this is what I expect when a mine is sitting idle because of some corrupt branch of the courts.  We dont need to bend over backwards or pay people for doing nothing. Perhaps these people that have list their jobs can put some pressure on their own government to assist with the resolution or re start of the ...more

Nothing is nice about this action. It should have been taken way earlier. It shows that the management does not fully understand the capacity of the issue, they are in touch with locals, they should know how bad things are and what to expect and when. Eventualy Escobal will be left with no employees if this continues into second year.
