Termination Fee

I'd expect the deal to go through, regardless. However, if Tahoe shareholders vote it down, the company is probably on the hook for paying PAAS a termination fee of $38 million bucks. That would put Tahoe in a serious world of hurt.

This just adds more credence to the fact that the fix is in long before the "deal" was announced! This "deal" should have been brought to the shareholders long before it was finalized. This working behind the investor's back is very slimey indeed! They did not act in good faith and in the interests of the shareholders in my opinion ......................

I agree that it's a lousy deal, since the merger shareprice is less than what the shareprice was only a few weeks before the announcement. Selling the company out at a market low and with Escobal unresolved, it's a massive blunder... unless the company couldn't the wait for the market to pick up or reach an Escobal resolution. Either way, the deal looks bleak for long-term investors ...more

Well, I guess it can bring about a new description for a time when thing turn bad ....... We have words like scr3wed, ripped off etc. Now we can add a new one We've been TAHOED! ..... combination of gyped, scr3wed, ripped off and any other description you can think of. That would be us ....... Tahoed!!!
