Larry, the company trades under the stock ticker, ACKRF on the U.S. markets.  When U.S. markets are closed, Canadian companies usually do not issue press releases, as the vast majority of stock holders would not be able to trade until the next trading day.  Certainly, with all of your "knowledge" regarding this company, you would be aware of that.

Larry, companies do not take trading volume into consideration when deciding to issue press releases.  The meeting took place at 1pm, eastern time.  Once the meeting concluded, the data had to be gathered and checked for accuracy.  Then someone had to take the time to put the PR together.  It was NOT going to get done before the markets closed for the day.  With U.S

SIlversam, NR is almost already ready BEFOREHAND.  they just drop in final numbers. As well, dealine for votes is a couple of days before meeing.  WHy?  SO THAT THEY KNOW FINAL NUMBERS BEFORE MEETING! Not my first rodeo.  Almost always see the NR within an hour or two of meeting..............not 2 days later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! excuses, excuses, excuses............whats next

Larry, shareholders who attend the meeting actually cast votes while they are there.  The results still have to be officially tabulated and certified.  If there were some terrible urgency to get the PR out minutes before markets closed yesterday, perhaps your reasoning might have some validity, but, for most of us, your logic just doesn't make sense.

silversam, To cast votes directly at the meeting is virtually impossible.  You have to get the shares out of your accoutn and registered directly in your name (and then you cant sell them until you reverse it and put them back in brokers name.  It rarely happens and even when it does, the paperwork is filed beforehand.

Larry we had this exact conversation in regards to a previous news release. The issues they have to have the release approved by CIRO. I'm sure the release was ready to rock but didn't make it through regulatory policy yesterday before end day.  because they're listed in US as well I would assume release wouldn't be able to go out before they are able to trade.. curtis, It should have been a pretty simple NR that CIRO would rubber stamp.  But agree that if there was disclosure or lack of disclosure, on where the $210 million is and/or closing date issues then CIRO would have held it up..............but in that case I think they would have halted it. As for US markets being closed, has NO impact on being able to issue NR.  Thats a FACT
