How hedge funds short without disclosing poditionNaked shorting is done on the dark exchanges. They lie about their positions and don't have to clear CDS. IIROC turns a blind eye as the institutions can show they have a reasonable expectation of settling a trade within 10 days but they do something called kiting shifting their shares between different entities indefinitely. So basically NB , rotates the shares between clearing houses......
