Breaking down Timmins activities to come
Detour mines 60,000 tpd mill had a Contractor hiring of 1,200-1,500 personel for a 2 year periode ...Timmins wil start of with a lower amount to start the Stainless steel refinery and then move on to the Crawford project ..now keeping this in mind the Crawford and the Selter will be getting built in the same time frame meaning an influx of workers wil be required ..When the green light is given for these projects the new housing in Timmins will comence ..Big moneys will come in for land aquisitions and you could see big housing projects begin..Keeping that in mind other contractors will be required for these housing projects and the snowball effect will begin in the new Timmins boom..Ontario Northland rail service to Timmins will be established by 2026 and will be one heck of a busy railine transporting materials into the Timmins camp.There might even be a need for transportation of workers if a 14 in 14 off schedule is established and workers come from down south ..
The future of Timmins employees as per site would be roughly , Crawford (500-700) , Stainless Steel plant (300-500) , Smelter (300-500) ...Reid (500-700) ...Mann (500-700) wich will be housed in Cochrane are and throw in a couple of small mills down Pine south Deloroe Sothman and your talking more residents..and then you have ENVI and Aston minerals with each having a need for 500 employees at there sites and voila Timmins and area in the next 10 years ..For those who know the Timmins area you could see the Pine south road to Mattachewan being fully paved and with Ashton minerals coming into play a new paved road could go to the Gogama area and bringing in lots of land and housing oportunities ..That my friends is what nickel can do for the Timmins campd and having CNC lead the way Timmins and communities will grow ..glta
