I do not know if my values are still pertinent in this day and age, but when I tell by boss that I will accomplish something before a certain date, I do not wait till after that date to explain why it is not done.

When i tell someone I am going to pick him up at 8h00, i do not arrive at 9h00 and say sorry I am late. As soon as I know that I will be delayed I call to INFORM of the delay. ( how long and the reason)

And if the result of an engagement is dependent on external factors like contractors or third party suppliers then I do followups with them in order to inform my boss before hand (not after) about delays if any.

Management will probably say that it is useless until they get the freaking permit since that has now become the standard answer.

And what about DRILLING ???

CRE now has a bag full of money now, so no rush anymore I guess.

Can someone contact JSL to know what is going on ? Are they all sitting at the conference table playing cards and ordering out while waiting for the permit ??
