Heavy trading today and 75 cents (April 9/24)

Whenever I see moribund stocks jump like this without any news I suspect those near the action are giving their friends a heads up.  I wonder if a contract has been finalized with a First Nations band to install a fully functioning CVW tailing ponds plant.  To me this would be a perfect win-win scenario for all parties involved. If the stock price rose dramatically in response who here would sell their holdings and at what price?

Heavy trading? I see 12.3k on the board, less than half the daily average, and worth less than $10000 overall. I think this is just a thinly traded stock, and the price can fluctuate wildly with even a small trade. Until we get some real news, I expect this to continue.

TD Waterhouse said "Heavy" and I believed them.

Maybe they were using one of the alternate meanings of the word heavy: 'dulled with weariness'.

It would be nice if you are correct! I think the best we can say at this point is the market seems like it has chewed through a good chunk of the overhang so if good news comes there is likely less resistance on the initial move higher.

My guess is the overall market has invested as much as it can in stocks at their highs and are now searching for moribund stocks like CVW who have some upside.  This is the riskiest bet in my portfolio with the greatest upside if a firm contract is signed.  The question is whether there will be a huge bump up and then crash until the plant is up and running and producing a profit.   ...more
