URANIUM NORTH AND DIAMONDS NORTH SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE AMALGAMATION
The amalgamation of Diamonds North Resources Corp. and Uranium North Resources Corp., as previously proposed on Dec. 5, 2012 (see news release), has been approved by the shareholders of each of the two companies at a special general meeting held on Feb. 7, 2013. The name of the amalgamated company will be Adamera Minerals Corp.
Upon completion of the amalgamation, the board of directors of Adamera Minerals will consist of Maynard Brown, Bernard Kahlert, Geir Liland, Yale Simpson and Mark Kolebaba, with Mr. Kolebaba serving as president and chief executive officer of Adamera.
"We are pleased the shareholders of both companies have shown strong support for the amalgamation of Diamonds North and Uranium North and our Washington state exploration strategy. We are eager to continue our exploration activities and achieve our goal of discovering a significant gold deposit," says Mark Kolebaba, president and chief executive officer of the companies.
Closing of the amalgamation is still subject to the approval of the British Columbia Supreme Court and the TSX Venture Exchange. The companies anticipate the effective date of the amalgamation to be on or about Feb. 19, 2013.
Adamera's strategy is low-cost exploration for significant, high-grade gold deposits within hauling distance of existing mineral processing facilities in Washington state.
