Thinking about the EV Charging App Opportunities

I am not to sure how Apps make there money however I assume that fees are paid for listing and perhaps transaction fees. Perhaps someone can explain this as this NR does not indicate how DM will generate $$$. With that being said I am left pondering the oppurtunities if for instance as the NR says the app will identify recreational facilities nearby to wait while charging. Well the same premise can be taken for say long vehicle trips , hotels , restaraunts , cultural sites etc ... Al could say offer deals to app users to drive commerece. So if my thinking is accurate then as Marshall stated Everthing is possible ! I would appreciate others inputs on revenue and how it may be generated. Perhaps at next discord we can ask MG to share the ned version of app how does DM envision the revenue Generation aspect ?

The App is using the company's proprietary AI and will work with both commercial and privately controlled charging stations.

• In the case of privately owned charging stations (e.g. strip malls, people's houses), individuals will be able to sign up as a provider of electric charging service(s). Individual providers will be able to set available times, and any other conditions they see fit for using their facilities.
• In the case of commercially controlled charging station networks, the app will monitor these networks for their availability, charging rates, costs, etc.
• In addition to providing the user of the app with the most economical charging station available, the app will advise the user of the best course of action to charge their vehicle based on these factors:
  • Time
  • Charging cost
  • Additional duration of travel involved
  • Charging speed
  • Destination (if known) and additional amenities provided
  • Entertainment options nearby while you charge

I can see DM's EV App being integrated into the infotainment system of a car.  Car companies around the world would pay a fee to integrate it and a yearly fee for DM to maintain and update the software for the app.  Not sure what something like that would be worth or if that's how it would be implemented.  We don't know what company has requested DM to work on this

Investor10X, I am in the process of picking up a new electric car ( Hyundai Ioniq 5). In looking in to this I have found that most charging companies and car companies offer software that to varying degrees manages the charging function. In Hyundai's case they load "Blue Link" software and it is usually paid by the car company during the warranty period. Currently, after the "

If Dm was to try to penetrate that infotainment system of a car they would have to tie it in to Blackberry's QNX operating system which is already into most car manufacturer's vehicles, it has been installed in Millions and millions of vehicles already because Blackberry kept the patent on their famous encrypted cellular phone

@Investor10x, @fearless and @markjohn: I'm pretty sure the EV project will be gigantic to DM, as their Ai will help to solve optimization problems with route planning and charging opportunities.
