Datametrex AI Ltd > REASON TO CHEER?

REASON TO CHEER?

Datametrex has finally launched two initial mobile EV chargers (MVC) in British Columbia. While that number is just a start, I find it very positive that they're already booked by our film and production industry buddies. As long as the client's first choice charger is DM EVS, this points to potential immediate revenue.

It's a good reason to be excited especially the fact that they are starting with a client.

The entire purpose of EV is to reduce the use of fossil fuel.  Really hope your wrong!  What a stupid idea to charge EV with an ICE...

Actually, the dumber idea would be to try to use an EV charging truck. EV trucks of this size generally have a range of about 150 to 220 miles . They are sending these into remote locations where there is very little EV charging infrastructure - that's why the film crews need them. Unless they want to use the charge to run the truck instead of delivering charge to customers then ICE is a good ...more

It is also important to remember that when an EV has to carry weight it's efficiency drops by as much as 1/2. Carrying recharge batteries around us about as much weight as these vans could handles. So that would take range down to maybe 100 miles round trip. ICE is the evil best choice here!

I was hoping for an EV/hybrid truck that would carry a significantly larger battery that would be used to charged other EV.  Wouldn't that be a better offer? Raz

I don't know if I'd call it stupid, seeing as there's obviously a demand seeing as their only 2 units are instantly booked before there is even an app out.  I'm guessing there is a long wait times for an EV van that meets their requirements.  They can always re-install their equipment if/when they are able to get some.

Using an ICE for this purpose actually makes sense.  As others have stated dragging around heavy loads (batteries) in an EV would really kill the vehicles range. My understanding is that these mobile units are not designed to save the planet rather they are there as an insurance policy for those unforseen circumstances where a driver finds themself dead on the side of the road and needs an ...more

I agree , I don't see how they will make money with these vans , but I feel they can do alright with the stationary units in malls and other large complexes , you don't have to be at the mall or other complexes to be able to use these charging units if you have the app , you could be driving around and realize your battery is low and the app will tell you where the closest charging unit is ...more

A full EV experience is what Datametrex owe its customers. They are going beyond MVC as a RELEASE some time back stated they have a deal with some real estate gurus. Fingers crossed by June 2023 B.C in totality will be EVARED
Comment by scottrose on Nov 15, 2022 10:05am
You are right, they are poised tomake a bigger impact with the stationary units and the mobile carts in parking spaces I am watching to see this mvc considering they announced they have a partnership with the film team.
Comment by PendleStock on Nov 15, 2022 10:18am
My take is they'll significantly charge more money than the fixed units since their main task is bailing out EV drivers facing range anxiety. They're a good idea whose impact should not be bellittled for now
Comment by Markhamjohn on Nov 15, 2022 10:24am
You used the description of "partnership". The news release actually said "has started servicing EV consumers on film and production sites in B.C.". So not quite a partnership for EV charging - yet!
