DME appoints head of Arizona Republican Party as a director

I
'm struggling to digest this news. Although clearly a powerful ally for the company, Ms Ward is one of those politicians who disgracefully helped stir up the lies and the chaos post-November that ultimately led to the storming of the Capitol.

Putting her recent behavior aside, I'm also not certain that appointing a high-profile republican to the board is such a good idea in a state that now appears to be leaning Democrat (though these things can change of course).

On the other hand, of course, it puts DME very much on the map, and illustrates the ambition of the company. Whatever your politics, it's a controversial move nonetheless, and I'd be very interested to hear others' views on this.

I don't think this was a well thought out decision. DME has been very careful in positioning itself as a green company . Then they put a person on their board that generally believes in a scorched earth policy. I believe this move destorys a lot of the goodwill will with environmentalists that they have been nuturing.. DME has now angered a a large and vocal group of it's neighbors.  ...more

Very disappointed. Very deflating. Can't anticipate any positive directing from appointment of partisan hack as director of a "green" technology company. Contrast that with the stand-up denunciations by corporate CEO's of new Georgia election law.

Put politics and emotions aside when investing. If her appointment doesn't sit well with you get out of the stock but if you like money more than politics then stay in and in and become a senator or Congress(wo)man. Look at it this way, both sides are a lying sack of dog doo, and you'll sleep better. Don't ever trust . American Politicians they love to kill and steal.

I tend to agree. This is business not politics. Plus there's something to be said for bridging the partisan divide when you can. Let's all make money in an environmentally-sound way!
