Week ending 03-31 - commercial flights were down 28.45%. Week ending 03-24 - down 32.66%. Because 2020 numbers were well down due to travel restrictions, the best comparison is 2021 to 2019. On 2021-
03-31, the 7-day moving average (77,708) was
down 28.45%, comparing this past week to the same week in 2019 (108,604).
On 2021-

On 2021-
03-10, the 7-day moving average was
down 33.48%, comparing 2021 to 2019.
On 2021-03-03, the 7-day moving average was down 35.84%, comparing 2021 to 2019. On 2021-02-07, the 7-day moving average was down 42.27%, comparing 2021 to 2019. The second graph at the link below shows that commercial flights in 2021 continue to rise, and at a pace that exceeds the seasonal gains through summer that occur every year as can be seen in the graph line for 2019.
This year's flights are more than double that of last year when the flight count was in freefall, headed towards the April 17th, 2020 low of 27,969.
Reminder: these are not Flyht numbers, these are worldwide commercial flight numbers. I would think Flyht's clients whose flights were not deemed mission critical fell off in step with the rest of the world and are now roughly following this recovery pattern.
Since Flyht gets paid byt the flight/hour, its SaaS revenue recovery rate is likely paralleling these numbers.
Whether or not commercial flight normality is profitable has not yet been shown - the impact of the PWS acquisition was not fully absorbed until the end of the first half of last year. The negative impact of COVID was into its third month by then, overlapping this.
