1.8210 flight hours per flight on average. This number has been growing over several months suggesting longer flights on average. This was explained recently by BT as being due to an increased ratio of cargo flights to passenger flights, with cargo flights tending to be longer.
In doing some research I discovered that the number of cargo flights worldwide have increased in part due to the reduction in passenger flights that typically carry freight also.
