How long can the auditor delay last?

This feels funny. They have no reasonable apparent excuse for this month long delay. Why can we not know what the specifics entail?   I wonder how many other companies behave like these special operators.

Thinking about mechanics; given the past actions re delay tactics, what this company seems to be capable of is finding a " legitimate" reason for a delay and using the protective measures set out to protect investors ,as a guard against investors! The Covid excuse used in 2021 is a prime example. In today's case as Sudbury points out there could be 100 different answers to the ...more

As, I've said before, Our Canadian regulators are a joke. But the joke is on them, and on shareholders as the mgmt/bod mocks everyone else. I keep contacting them and they keep doing the same thing. Nothing. Iiroc, legitimately, claims no jurisdiction but I push them to get involved anyway on the grounds nobody else is. The tsx hides behind "confidentiality " owed to the company to ...more

The great difficulty with this company is the lack of everything where the running of it is concerned.  The CFO has held the position forever and  has what certification exactly?  The directors who included the CFO for a very long time never raised any serious objection to how Smith ran the company. If they had felt it was operating in some nefarious way, including the time the CFO ...more

It's very rare for any small cap exploration company, not just fnc , to have an issue with the auditors. About anything. For starters, none of them have any material assets on the balance sheet other than cash and other publicly traded juniors. Secondly, it just doesn't matter to the bod, cfo, and shouldn't matter to fnc, what the value of that asset is on the balance sheet. It might ...more

While I'm spit ballin possible areas of contention material enough to create this clustermess, let's speculate there is not agreement on the equity method of accounting for the kwg investment. I'm getting a headache trying to finger out all the accounting disclosures but maybe it boils down to this. The convert is into 7,353,568 multi voting shares "valued" at $4.6916 at the ...more

Thanks Maxmoe, it is a challenge to understand the actuals and the motives behind them. As for the 22M FNC share sale(?) to Ashwath Mehra's private company, Astor Management, from Champion Iron Mines announced in July 2021 it is still very much of a sore point for the green slate proxy of 2021.  The fact that Mehra was and still is a director is unsettling with regard to the transaction. ...more

I hope for your sake you are right about it "going places". I assume you didn't mean go to H , E, double hockey sticks. If only there was a way for ashwrath and the rest of the junta to suffer while simultaneously everyone else made a fortune. I bought this stock so long ago I can't remember. 20 years ago maybe when a youngish dr smith enjoyed getting out into the bush , then ...more
