Russia HALTS Uranium Exports to United States

Russia's nuclear entity, Rosatom, has just announced Russia is halting exports of Uranium to the United States.

The US imports about twelve percent (12%) of its annual Uranium needs, from Russia.

Without fresh Uranium, US nuclear power plants will not be able to refresh fuel to continue generating electricity.

Russia has clarified the story which initially reported they were "Halting Uranium exports to the United States." Russia now says it will honor all its contracts but cannot ship from St. Petersburg because no Insurance is available for ships.
