Is a Takeover a Foregone Conclusion?

Hi Everyone:

It seems like there is much talk, even from Paul himself anticipating in due time that a company will take GDNP over.  Is it not a possibility, or desireable that we just continue to grow and acquire in a space where we don't have any competition, and build an economic moat, grow the business to best in breed and spurn all takeover offers?  I am just curious why it seems like the prospect of a takeover seems almost like a foregone conclusion.  Are we not able to get big fast enough?  Or will there always be an offer tendered that we won't be able to refuse?

It is my expectation that Paul will grow this company to a size where the petro-chemical plastics company cannot afford to have GDNP eat their lunch anymore.  Although I would probably prefer a straight up cash transaction somewhere north of $2.50 / share I think it's reasonable to assume that some sort of take out of GDNP might very well include an interest in the entity that buys them ...more

Would probably have to be an extremely atrractive offer at this stage of GDNP market growth. More likely to occur in a year or two with stronger revenue and positive cashflows coming in. Having said that if one of the big Packagers sees the potential here they may want it bad enough to make an offer now that can't be refused. That is the advantage of being first in space. The stock was 21 cents exactly a year ago and 30 cents a month ago.
