Additional Near-Surface High-Grade Copper-Gold Results TODAY: Gladiator Metals (GLAD.v GDTRF) Reports Additional Near-Surface High-Grade Copper-Gold Results from Cowley Park Drilling
Today, Gladiator Metals (GLAD.v GDTRF) released assay results from 16 new holes (4,837 m) from Phase 2 drilling at Cowley Park, part of its 35 km Whitehorse Copper Project in the Yukon.
Notably, results confirm strong continuity of high-grade near-surface copper-gold mineralization and expand the known strike by more than 150 m to the east.
Key Highlights
- Continuity of high-grade surface, copper and gold mineralization confirmed over 400 m + strike and extended >150 m east on the Southern Limb.
- Best intercept: 14.0 m @ 2.36 % Cu & 2.78 g/t Au from 33 m (CPG-102D3), including 8.0 m @ 3.58 % Cu & 4.80 g/t Au.
- Other notable holes:
- CPG-099 returned 20.0 m @ 1.72 % Cu from 136 m (incl. 14.0 m @ 2.21 % Cu).
- CPG-097 intercepted 47.1 m @ 0.69 % Cu from 126.5 m (incl. 5.2 m @ 1.88 % Cu & 0.28 g/t Au).
- Gold grades continue improving toward the eastern extension of Cowley Park.
- YESAB has recommended approval of Gladiator’s Class 3 Permit for the broader Whitehorse Copper Project, a key step toward expanded exploration and resource drilling in 2026.
CEO Commentary
Jason Bontempo stated that ongoing drilling “continues to deliver consistent high copper grades from near surface” and that continuity along the Southern Limb is “contributing significant high-grade copper skarn mineralization to the resource model.” He also noted increasing gold values east of Cowley Park and highlighted the economic importance of gold, silver, and molybdenum by-product credits.
Next Steps
- Four drill rigs currently active—two at Cowley Park (resource definition) and two on regional targets.
- Additional assays expected in coming weeks from Cowley Park and regional prospects (Valerie and Little Chief).
- Maiden NI 43-101 resource targeted for Q2 2026 following Class 3 permit approval.
- Drilling under the 29,000 m Whitehorse Copper Belt program will also test new anomalies “Great Southern” and “Doozy,” identified from recent IP surveys.
Project Background
The Whitehorse Copper Project spans 35 km along the western margin of Whitehorse City and includes 30 historic Cu-skarn occurrences.
Past production (1967–1982) yielded 267 Mlb Cu, 225 koz Au and 2.8 Moz Ag from 10.5 Mt at 1.5 % Cu. Gladiator aims to define multiple high-grade copper-gold resources along the belt, leveraging excellent infrastructure access and strong institutional support (Dynamic, Mackenzie, Macquarie, Orimco).
