Gladiator Metals Corp. (Ticker: GLAD.v or GDTRF for US investors) recently shared more high-grade copper-gold assay results from its ongoing Phase 2 drilling program at the Cowley Park prospect within the Whitehorse Copper Project in Yukon.
The company reported strong intercepts confirming continuity of mineralization across more than 400m, extending the Southern Limb by over 150m to the east.
Key results included:
-
14.0m @ 2.36% Cu, 2.78 g/t Au, 22.37 g/t Ag, and 1,516 ppm Mo from 33m, including 8.0m @ 3.58% Cu and 4.80 g/t Au (Hole CPG-102D3).
-
20.0m @ 1.72% Cu from 136m, including 14.0m @ 2.21% Cu (Hole CPG-099).
-
47.1m @ 0.69% Cu from 126.5m, including 5.2m @ 1.88% Cu and 0.28 g/t Au (Hole CPG-097).
CEO Jason Bontempo stated that ongoing resource definition drilling continues to deliver consistent, near-surface high copper grades, with the Southern Limb now showing strong continuity.
He added that increasing gold values to the east may meaningfully contribute to project economics alongside silver and molybdenum credits.
Gladiator currently operates four drill rigs at the Whitehorse Copper Project —two at Cowley Park and two on regional targets—with results from the Valerie and Little Chief prospects expected soon.
The company also achieved a regulatory milestone as the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) issued a recommendation to proceed with its Class 3 permit, which will allow infill and step-out drilling to expand Cowley Park’s mineralized boundaries ahead of a maiden resource estimate expected in Q2 2026.
The Whitehorse Copper Project spans a 35km-long high-grade copper belt adjacent to Whitehorse City and includes more than 30 copper-related occurrences. Historical production (1967–1982) totalled 267.5M lbs Cu, 225,000 oz Au, and 2.84M oz Ag from 10.5M tonnes milled.
Gladiator plans to complete up to 29,000m of drilling across Cowley Park, Chiefs Trend, Arctic Chief, and other regional targets by the end of 2025.
