2024 ElectionsMost of us who are long on GQC believe that our good friend the President will finally see sense and grant us the permit, allowing GQC to progress onto the environmental (mining) permit. Obviously, we're hoping that the permit will come fairly soon (in the next few weeks / months), but if he is as cautious as he appears to be, he may not sign before the 2024 elections are over.
However, assuming he wins, he will have nothing to lose by granting the permit in 2024, because he can't be elected for a third term, so could afford to upset a few voters and do the right thing for his country.
I admit this is taking patience to the extreme, but it's a possible way this gordian knot will be untied.
