@James_PM @jf The EIS report that GQC will have to do will start after they get the Exploitation License according to what GGC have told us. What MEM has done is ensure that local community has an input in that EIS process which is managed by the MEM. Why? Because EIS is not just environmental responsibility but social responsibility and therefore naturally requires locals to be provided an input into the EIS. Finally, what MEM does for publicity and for public consumption is also an element of Public Relations or PR to keep the local community on their side. I have seen nothing to suggest that anyone apart from the MEM and the President can decide on the approval mining Exploitation License. Such decisions are for the government and civil service of DR, which is their job to do.

So to summarize... From what was said at the meeting, we expect Goldquest to receive an exploitation license shortly. Once in hand, they will have to compelete the EIS process which will have a dedicated committe represernitng local interests overseeing the process. But nonetheless, the process will move forward.  Concurrently, Goldquest should reinitiate their exploration program. Then it is ...more

GQC has great potential!  Not only are they already sitting on a drilled 2 million ore deposit which at $ 1900 / oz converts into a share value of $14/share in gold in the ground , but also has a property of 50 km in strike with the same geology as their gold deposit! Beside that their property is one of the most desirable exploration targets in the World namely on a Rift Valley Fault ...more
