Interesting thought

For those technical experts on potash production, at what point do you think Gensourse
would take a run at Western Potash assests.  If things don't work out at Western they could be selling at bargain basement prices. Western has spent a fortune on physical infrastructure.
The question is could Gensource use their technology to take over Westerns project. Would be like starting at step seven you would think. Most likely way to soon for Gensource to take something else on but interesting thought.  Took a look at the Management and Director bios for Gensource
last night.  Quite the read.  Looks like they have attracted the cream of the crop in terms of
knowledge and management skills.  Worth a read.

I give a less than 1% chance for GSP taking over Western.  Totally different model.  The usable assets vs. the existing debt likely net negative for GSP.

Thanks bb.  Like they say there is no stupid question. Not my area of experitise.

7T, I agree 100% with you that there are no stupid questions, especially when discussing the novel horizontal selective solution mining process in Saskatchewan. Both Western and Gensources downhole extraction technology is very similiar in nature, and both companies quote Intrepids Moab and Cane Creeks process as the methodology of extraction principles. They also both report it has not been ...more

mdjbrown, you've been casting doubt on GSP's technical solutions for many years now.  This is a highly experienced, extremely thoughtful team.  I guarantee you they've already considered and long ago developed solutions for impurities and temperature variance.  You've been touting Beechy Potash and Western Potash for a long time now, yet they both have floundered ...more

Btb - Asking questions that dont appear to have an answer cetainly should not be construed as casting doubts. I have never doubted the talent, drive, or capabilities of the Gensource team, as that is not and has never been the concern. In fact the impressive modeling GSP has implemented could very well become a template for other hopefuls in the future, but that doesnt change the laws of science. ...more

mdjbrown - It's obvious we're not going to see this the same way.  I just wanted board participants to have a different point of view.  GSP hasn't been publicly discussing their technical solutions in great detail likely because (a) they're proprietary (b) most people aren't interested in getting that deep in the weeds.  But I'm sure anyone with questions ...more

That's a great idea! if you're an engineer or similar professional and actually can understand/discuss the process at a professional level. Please, shoot Mike an email, ask him and get back to us! Tell him the truth; that you represent a few shareholders that own acouple percent of his company and we're having a disagreement on a public investing forum about the specifics of the ...more

After a lengthy hiatus we have a well known shorter back stinking up the board.  The pattern is always the same, this Trojan Horse believes he is cleverly disguising negative caveats to initially approaching with loving arms towards the company and all of the good folks who inhabit this board.  Rather than buying into this scoundrel, I put put my faith into the dozens of engineers ...more

Who the hell is dumb enough to short GSP at this point in time! That is a rediculous gamble and an abuse of capital. I never even thought to check the short position on GSP because it seemed like such an absurd idea. Thanks for your posts Black they're always a great read. You have some really great habits, please keep sharing them.

Gensource taking a run at Western would be a ridiculously stupid gamble. Even taking a surface look at the Western story it seems riddled with fraud and massive geopolitical risk. Why would Gensource who at the cusp of financing the first of many of their own high-quality German engineered and insured projects with world class trustworthy partners and pre-sold product want to walk into a half ...more
